Long flight too much time to think

Had a long flight to Chicago today and a few odd experiences and thoughts. First of all managed to be a "random choice" for both the Xray search and the bag search so clearly looking a little bit suspect. That said I have to say in both cases the airport staff at Heathrow just couldn't be more polite which is more than I can say for those in the US where a sense of humour gets you arrested. Bumped into Bryan Adams who turned out to be a pretty decent chap. Realised then that I like a lot of his stuff but never bought any of it.

On the plane I again came across a phenomenon that just keeps on repeating itself. My iPod in shuffle mode is psychic !! No sooner had I talked about Genesis with my team mate Ken that I get 3 Genesis songs in the first 10 and to add to that no sooner did I read about the meaning of Koyaanisqatsi (balance) in the "Da Vinci Code" when on comes a piece by Philip Glass from Koyaanisqatsi.

First day new job

Today is my first day in a new job and since my focus will be on collaboration and social networking I thought no better time to start regularly journalling on a blog. This may well be no more than a rant but hopefully something of use to someone who like me is a 40 something dad, aging in musical taste and struggling to keep up with technology even though that's my job.
